On the edge of the London metropolis the ever-expanding population is at play: sailing, beachcombing, riding the cable car; the O2 Arena peeps from above the skyline.
There is a melancholy colour to the 'The Rowing Club', suggesting something of the darker side of the river's rich and turbulent history. In contrast to this are bright hues adorning myriad developments, and the clothing of the tiny figures.
Here we see modern London almost supernaturally juxtaposed onto a leaden sky and the wild windblown shoreline of the Thames.
